Prof. Reinhard Goebel
Reinhard Goebel founded Musica Antiqua Köln in 1974, whose conductor he had been for 33 years. He has been working with numerous large orchestras in and outside Germany, including Berlin Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Dresden, various German radio orchestras and the Taipei, Melbourne and Sydney Symphony Orchestras. Succeeding Nikolaus Harnoncourt, he is professor in Historical Performance Practice at the University Mozarteum Salzburg (Austria). Among the countless prizes he has been awarded, the BBC Music Magazine chose him to be one of the 20 best violinists of all time.
