With the baroque sepcialists Jean-Marc Andrieu and Fabienne Azéma the Bachfest 2019 in Rostock wins a very particular timbre:
Jean-Marc Andrieu has a distinctive feel for the baroque sound cosmos as the leading conductor of „Les Passions - Orchestre baroque de Montauban“ and head of the conservatoire Montauban. Together with Fabienne Azéma, further chamber musicians, and vocalists, “Les Passions” stage a historically informed performance practice of grand oratorios, productions for cinema, theatre dance. The ensemble is more than just successful with invitations to renowned intenational festivals, performances all over the world as well as well-known recordings with the label Ligia.
That these soloists make their way to Rostock, is due to the personal connection with music educator and flautist Johanna Vogler as well as an exchange between the conservatoire Montauban and the music school “Carl Orff” that grew through the years.
